Seriously, this game was fantastic. Without a doubt the best flash game mechanically I've ever played, with a nice flowing art style.

Graphics: 10. The graphics in this game were just brilliant. It gave off a Japanese, almost okami-like sort of vibe, which in my opinion is a good thing. It was extremely flowing, it really just makes you think of everything Japanese artistically, like calligraphy, especially the final boss. Of course, this is all right where it needs to be considering it's about a samurai.

Style: 10. This goes right along with the graphical department. I believe I mentioned it, but this game has a very unique style and feel that I most certainly enjoy, even if it really alienates the low-end computer users. Keep doin' what you're doin' here.

Sound: 10. This just really set the mood. Congratulations, you made a phenomenal pick right here. Everything was right where it needed to be and blended/meshed perfectly with the mood and background of the game. I particularly enjoyed the sound effects chosen for the sword, they don't stand out and aren't grating on the ears.

Interactivity: 11? Oh...well, 10 then. Bastards only let me rate 10....Yeah, you get the picture. This was amazing for a flash game, the entire time I was thinking how great this would work on an iPhone or DS, it really seemed like everything done put flash to its max potential, pushed its limits. Can you tell that I enjoyed the game yet?

Overall, fantastic game. Might be a shoe-in for game of the year, depending upon the contenders. I have to say I don't remember playing a flash game I've enjoyed this much...ever. It's right up there with william and sly, another phenomenal flash game. Good luck with any games you create in the future, I will most certainly be watching.

You, sir....you make amazing flash, and I congradulate you.

Graphics- 10. The charaters, backgrounds, and everything were very, very smooth, had a certain mood to them, and fit in so well with everything else. I also love how smooth the lines on everything were, something i've yet to accomplish yet in flash on ANY drawing. I commend you for your work here.

Audio: 10. I've never heard this song before, and didn't think I'd like it at the beginning, but everything fit so well I couldn't help but love the song. This is truly one of the few flash out there that work so well with the song you don't know if the flash was made for the song, or the song was made for the flash.

Story: 10. At first glance, there may not appear to be much of a story. If you read into it a bit, however, the story is definately there, and it is told in a great, fluid, way at a constantly-moving pace.

Interactivity: N/A-there was a button, but this is a movie. No score.

Humor: N/A this is more of a Noir film, so there's not really a point of including this as a score.

Overall, this was a GREAT flash and instantly made number one on my ever-expanding favorites list here on newgrounds. It's one of the few flash that I feel compelled to watch more than once, twice, or even three times. I've watched this flash four times so far, and plan on watching it again in a little bit. I also rarely ever get on my account to do much but vote, and the fact that I'm acually reviewing this says something, for me at least, because i rarely ever review flash.

In short, this flash was AMAZING, and I love it. I'll be watching you with a close eye for new flash. I sort of wish I could give you an extra point for the "Ooohhh!" factor when the plane hit the...well, you know.

This was certainly a brilliant flash. This was honestly the first flash in about 5 or 6 months that has actually made me laugh aloud, not just an amused smile or chuckle here or there.

Graphics- Most people would simply say 'OMFG SPRITE ZERO' but it actually takes work to blend all of the sprites as well as you did, something many people don't appreciate. If you were to take mario, for example, and place him against an 8-bit background or some other nonsense, it wouldn't look very good, would it? 10

Audio- I think this is what really sold the flash. The way the audio was perfectly synced and simply the presentation of it, the timing, was amazing. I really liked the audio. 10

Interactivity- Play button. Whee. N/A

Humor- This was by far the most outrageous flash I've seen in quite a while, I was laughing the whole way through. It's amazing how much you've pulled from such a simply concept, and every joke in this flash was fresh, not an overused 'LuLz He KiCkEd TeH CaStLe LuL' or something similar. Quite entertainging.

Overall, This was an outstanding flash, and boo-hoo to all of the people who are going to say 'It's a sprite flash?! Zero!' Because, although this is a sprite flash, it probably took more practice than most people here even have to get it this good.

"hmmm...."

While I can really appreciate how difficult it must have been to convert this to flash, I must also nag about the many glitches in this little game.

First off, don't change the screen size using + or -, or go to options and change the graphics to low. The screen will freak, walls will dissappear, enemies and guns will look like a line floating here or there.

Second, the controls lag like mad. I hit the key, started moving, let go, and he kept moving for like.....4 seconds afterwords.

I think if you programmed mouse aiming in it would have worked much better, but there really wasn't much for mouse aiming in the original, so I can't take off due to that.

The controls. THEY'RE AKWARD AS HELL. I liked the ALT button for strafing and ctrl for fire....

I used a cheat or two and got all weapons with noclip. With nocllip in this one, when you go out of boundries, the screen locks up. Literally locks. It looks like you're standing still, no matter where you go. Also, it doesn't seem that the BFG and Plasma Rifle have made an appearance here.

Music. It's a good thing you didn't put it in, actually, as it would have lagged the game to hell. On the topic of sound, I started hearing sounds from the little intro demonstration as I was approaching the exit door of the first level, with 100% secrets(this means it took longer to get to the exit). It lags very badly.

So, overall, it's a great, accurate representation of doom in flash, with lots of lag. As a game, it's buggy, laggy, and not overall too enjoyable.

To the point where I decided to log in and review this. I really liked it.
Graphics-10
superb animation skills, the lip synching was done extremely well. The ending was also rather unexpected.
Audio-10
This was flawless. Your microphone must be an excellent one, the audio was clear and there was no crackling. The little song at the end fit the theme extremely well.
Humor-9
It was good for a few chuckles, and I can appreciate that.
Interactivity-10
Why do I put a 10, you ask? Well, Your button was custom, and had a smooth walking animation.....I wish I could animate walking. Life would be grand.
Overall-9

I can appreciate this greatly. It was quite funny, random, and well-animated, three of my favorite things. It only ACTUALLY got a nine because it was...well, short. But that's okay, I can tell effort was put into it.

I look forward to seeing more of your flash!

this was a bit random....and violent......and it had solid animation and great sound. Much better than I could ever do, anyways. It's just not my kind of flash. It's likely a hit/miss with most people. You definately have a great style, though. Keep up the good work!

I can't really rate this, I won't vote on it on a scale of 1-5. Whenever the game starts up, I get stuck on the second loading screen (the one with ads that say 'click here to play!') or after i click play, it says 'loading Matrix Pandemonium' and I get a message in red letters: This game will only work the GameJacket loader, if you are a webmaster please take the single SWF loader for this game to work properly. Thanks!'

So yeah, I can't rate it.
